We are thrilled to share the tremendous success of our Gala 2024, held on October 4th at the beautiful location Festhalle Aschau. It was an evening filled with inspiration, passion, and generosity. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us and made this event such a memorable occasion. From our inspiring keynote speakers to our wonderful supporters and donors, the night was a celebration of the collective effort to make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals, the environment, and abused women and children.
Our founder, Sunny, delivered a powerful speech on the deep connections between animal abuse and the abuse of women and children, highlighting the urgency of our cause. Ruben and Semme captivated the audience with the story behind their documentary, which showcases the incredible work of vet Ian Baines. The film highlights the profound impact his mobile clinic has on pets, their owners, and the broader effort to reduce pet overpopulation. Through his dedicated work, Ian is making a real difference in the lives of animals and their communities. Silvia also shared the remarkable progress of the spay and neuter programs on the island of Kalymnos, helping to further combat overpopulation. Irene from vetal provided a compelling presentation on the orthopedic support her organization offers to animals, inspiring everyone with their innovative work.
We are deeply grateful to the generous donors who contributed to our silent auction, adding a touch of magic to the evening. A heartfelt thank you to Dog Filous for their years of partnership and donation of dog products, and to Linda for the extraordinary gift of a Hawaii condo stay. We also thank Hoopo for the wonderful cat items, Sharon for her heartwarming dog paintings "Rescue Love," and Christine for her beautiful painting with real gold. Special thanks to our anonymous donor to the silent auction for the exquisite vegan organic wine and champagne, which added an extra touch of elegance to the evening.
We loved the epic surprise dance from Maria and Mike, who got the crowd to join them in doing the Cupid Shuffle!
We also want to express our gratitude to Pete Storm, whose incredible entertainment set the tone for an unforgettable night, and to Navid, whose vibrant music brought the party to life. We cannot thank everyone enough for believing in our cause and contributing to an evening that will fuel our mission for years to come. A special mention goes to Max, an extraordinary donor whose impact through this Gala has left us beyond grateful.
